Congratulations to the Belmont Boys and Girls rugby teams who each went undefeated in their 2023 seasons to win the Commonwealth Rugby Conference in D1 Boys and D1 Girls leagues.

Belmont Boys Varsity Rugby started the season out with a series of non-league matches, traveling to Ridgefield, CT and Bishop Hendricken in RI and hosting Simsbury, CT at home for the first 3 weeks of play. Then began 5 weeks in a row of undefeated league matches against some big well skilled teams, ending the regular season with two big physical matches against B.C. High and St. John's Prep. They ended as the #1 seed in Division 1 heading into the MIAA playoff season.

Belmont Girls Varsity Rugby started the season with a tough rematch of the 2022 State Championship match against Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Belmont played 7 weeks of league matches, facing tough physical matches from opponents like Brookline High School and Weymouth High School. However, Belmont girls ended the season undefeated, winning all 7 of their matches and starting over 30 different players in varsity matches throughout the season. They head into the MIAA playoff season as the #1 seed for Division 1 Girls Rugby.

Congratulations and well done to both sides an all the players that worked so hard to create such a successful 2023 Regular Season.
